Statistical data on a variety of public welfare services and programs. The majority are in mimeograph or other near-print format; many were issued by the department's Division of Research and Statistics. The data covers such topics as welfare costs and recipient statistics, aid to dependent children programs, general child welfare, including adoption, state guardianship, children born out of wedlock, Native American children, child abuse, day care, and boarding homes/foster care; food stamps; community mental health centers; and services for the aged, mentally ill, blind, and mentally and physically disabled.
